MICHAEL Jackson's former wife has said she shared their bed with up to five people, convinced him to have children and married him in Australia on a whim.
Debbie Rowe, Jackson's wife of three years, has revealed she pleaded with Jackson to let her have his children and was behind the decision to make them wear masks in public.
In a tell-all interview, she disputed claims she never had sex with Jackson.
``Yes we slept together,'' she said.
And she said there were several occasions when other people joined her and Jackson under the covers.
``There's been five people in our bed,'' she said.
``I would hope that your bed is the most comfortable place in the house.''
Rowe, who married Jackson in Sydney in 1996, denied she was paid to have Jackson's children or was artificially inseminated.
She said she persuaded him to have two children with her because ``he was such a good friend''.
``I could do something for him and this is what I wanted to do,'' she said.
``People don't understand that. They wanted a traditional (marriage) - they have this notion of Beaver Cleaver. That's not reality in the 21st century ... and if it makes people uncomfortable, it's a shame that they're not more open.
``I said: `Let me do this for you. Please let me do this.' I nagged him into it, if you will.''
Rowe, who met Jackson 30 years ago when she was working at a Beverly Hills dermatology clinic, said their relationship was based on friendship rather than true love.
She had a miscarriage before the birth of their first child, Prince Michael, and married Jackson only ``to prevent some of the taboo of a child out of wedlock.''
``The kids were going to have it hard enough as it was,'' she said. ``They didn't need to have that label placed upon them like their father has had so many placed upon him.
``We wouldn't have got married if we didn't have kids.''
The explosive claims are laid bare in an interview to be aired on Foxtel tomorrow night. As Jackson fans around the world continue to mourn his death, the one-hour special promises to shed light on some of the most mysterious aspects of his life.
Rowe said she split with Jackson in 1999 because she was sick of the media attention, but first instructed him to cover the faces of their children in public because she feared they would be kidnapped.
``Their faces being covered was my request, not his,'' she said. ``I'm the one who's seen the notes, that someone is going to take his children. There's nothing more terrifying than looking at a piece of paper that says, `I'm taking them'.''
Rowe said she wanted to set the record straight after years of rumour and innuendo about her relationship with the music icon.
``You can only take lies for so long,'' she said. ``I'm tired of the lies. I'm tired of the bullst.''
She said Jackson proposed when she was five months pregnant.
``He said let's get married, so I said OK,'' she said.
They were married by a justice of the peace in a rushed private ceremony at a Sydney hotel.
This week Rowe filed a lawsuit accusing a woman of falsifying emails to defame her. In documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, she accuses Rebecca White of defamation, invasion of privacy and causing emotional distress.
Ms Rowe said Ms White fabricated emails that purported to showed she did not want custody of her children after Jackson's death.
She contends she did not send the emails, and that she had not been in communication with Ms White at all since Jackson's death on June 25.
Ms White could not be reached for comment on the lawsuit and Rowe's lawyer has not specified what sort of damages are being sought.
