为应对坑爹的高考，当初我可是做了很多的英语阅读。来自2009年湖北八校联考的一篇关于爱情的文章让我读后很感动，特此来分享给大家看。原文在网上我没找到，我就只有纯手打码字上来并且自行翻译。【翻译可能不是那么唯美，各位将就一下】
He met her at a party.She was so outstanding, with many boys aruond her,while he was so normal,with nobody paying attention to him.
At the end of the party,he invited her to have coffee with him.She was suprised ,but due to being polite,she agreed.
They sat in a nice coffee shop.He was too nervous to say anything,and she felt uncomfortable,thinking,"please let me go home".
Suddenly he asked the waiter,"would you please give me some salt?i'd like to put it in my coffee"
Everybody stared at him-----so strange!His face turned red,but,still,he put the salt in his coffee and drink it.
She asked him curiously,"why do you have this hobby?"
He replied,"When i was a little boy,i was living near the sea.I liked playing in the sea,and i could feel the taste of the sea,just like the taste of the salty coffee.Now every time i have the salty coffe,I always think of my childhood.I miss my hometown so much.I miss my parents who are still living there"
While saying that,tears filled his eyes.She was deeply toched.That's his true feeling,from the bottom of his heart.A man who can tell out his homesicknenss,he must be a man who loves home,cares about home,and has responsibility of home.
Then she also started to speak about her faraway hometown,her childhood,and her family.That was a really nice talk,also a beautiful beginning of their story.
They continued to date .She found that actually he was a man who meets her demands,he was kind-hearted ,warm and careful.He was such a good person but she almost missed him!
Thanks to his salty coffee!Then the story was just like every beautiful love story----the princess married the prince,and then they were living a happy life~~~And,every time she made coffee for him,she put some salt in the coffee.
After 40 years,he passed away,leaving her a letter which said ,"my dearest ,please forgive my whole life lie.This was the only lie i said to you--the salty coffee"
"Remember the first time we dated?I was so nervous at that time.Actually i wanted some sugar,but i said salt.It was hard for me to change so i just went ahead"
"I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life ,but i was too afraid to do that,as i have promised not to lie to you for anything"
"Now i'm dying,i'm afraid of nothing so i tell you the truth :i dont like the salty coffee.What a strange bad taste!But i have had the salty coffee for my whole life!"
"Since i knew you, i never feel sorry for anything i do for you.Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life.If i can live for a second life,i still want to know you and have you for my whole life,even though i have to drink the salty coffee again."
Her tears made the letter totally wet.
Someday,someone asked her ,"what's the taste of salty coffee?" "It's sweet,"she replied.
他在聚会上碰到她。她太出众了，有着很多男孩子围绕着她、然而他却很普通，没有人会注意到他。
在聚会的最后，他邀请她与他共饮一杯咖啡，她非常吃惊，但是出于礼貌，她同意了。
他们就坐在一个非常漂亮得咖啡馆。他太紧张了以至于不知道说什么好她也感觉不自在，心里叨念着“请快让我回家吧。”
突然，他叫来了侍者，“你能给我一些盐吗？我想放在咖啡里。”
每个人都愣着看着他——这实在太奇怪了。他的脸变得通红，但是仍然坚持把盐放进咖啡并且喝掉了。
她好奇地问他“你怎么会有这样的爱好？”
他回答道“当我小的时候，我靠着还居住。我爱在海水里玩耍，我可以感受到海的味道，就像咸咖啡的味道。现在每一次我喝咸咖啡的时候，我总是回想起我的童年。我非常思念我的家乡，我思念现在仍住在那里的我的父母。”
当说到这里时，泪水湿润了他的眼眶。她深深地感动了。这是他的真实感受，发自他内心的感受、一个可以诉说他的思想情绪的男人一定是一个爱家的人，一个关心家庭，对家庭有责任心的人。
接下来她也开始谈论她远方的故乡，她的童年，还有她的家庭。这是一场非常愉快的谈话，也是他们美好故事的开始。
他们接下来开始约会。她发现实际上他是一个满足她所有条件的男子。他非常热心，温暖和仔细。他是如此优秀的一个人而她差一点就错失了他！
多亏了他的咸咖啡！接着这个故事像每一个完美的爱情故事一样——公主嫁给了王子，然后他们过上了幸福的生活~于是，每一次她给他准备咖啡的时候总会在他的咖啡里放上盐。
在40年过后，他离开了人世，留下了一封信。“我最亲爱的你，请原谅我整个人生的谎言。这是我对你撒下的唯一一个谎言——咸咖啡”
“你还记得我们第一次约会吗？我那时太紧张了。实际上当时我想要的是糖，但是我却说成了盐。想要改口对我来说太难了，所以我只能这样、”
“在我整个人生中我有很多次都想告诉你这个真相。但是我害怕这样做，所以我让自己承诺再也不对你说谎。”
“现在我要死了。我不害怕任何事，所以我将告诉你真相：我不喜欢咸咖啡。这是多么奇怪又难闻的味道！但是我却在我整个人生中喝了一辈子！”
“自从我认识你以来，我从没有因为任何事觉得对你感到抱歉。与你共度一生是我生命中最幸福的事。如果有下辈子，我仍然要选择认识你并且和你一辈子在一起，即使我又要喝一辈子的咸咖啡。”
她的眼泪湿透了他的信。
某一天有人问她“咸咖啡唱尝起来是什么味道？” “是甜的”她回答道。
觉得这像微小说一样让人觉得很幸福的夫妻。附送几张【吸血鬼日记】里Elina 和Damon的幸福照片【木有办法，我是DE党~SD党不要拍砖】，他俩在现实生活中也是幸福的一对呢~
